Nature Pedagogy Models
This ‘wheel’ represents the journey from conception to death. With the movement from south to south-west (SW) this stage represents early adulthood to adulthood (40 + years old). Human life from spring to autumn is usually more active and external, just like the seasons.
The north or winter stage of our life (60 years old) is where we can offer stability to our families and communities and impart the wisdom, we have gathered from a life well lived.
Midnight and the north direction on the wheel see us entering elderhood – a time to pass on wisdom and witness the ‘seeds of knowledge’ grow. We sense a larger connected world, which includes the cosmos. Caring and letting go characterises the end of this stage.
