Forest School practitioners are reflective practitioners. They are always considering their role and influence, and ‘tracking’ if the ideas are child-led or adult-led. The sessions need to provide the opportunity for you as a practitioner to reflect and observe children, so you can plan and support appropriately.
As part of your 6 session Introduction to Forest School, you are required to choose 3 individuals and observe them in more depth during the 6 sessions. You will be observing, reflecting and evaluating the sessions and this will show in the planning that you are doing. It is perfectly normal for a session to not look like the plan!
