Fully Funded Level 3 Certificate in Nature-Based Practice for Community Leaders in Sussex
Applications are now open for a fully funded place on Circle of Life Rediscovery CIC’s accredited Level 3 Certificate in Nature-Based Practice, as part of our Green Allies: Nature & Community Programme.
This opportunity is for Sussex-based community leaders, VCSE organisations, social workers, wellbeing practitioners and community-based organisations who support local people and want to develop safe, inclusive and meaningful outdoor sessions for their communities.
The programme is funded through the Awards for All Environment programme and is designed to strengthen the connection between community wellbeing, nature-based practice, land care and biodiversity.
We are offering funded training places for 10 community-based organisations or practitioners in Sussex. The aim is to support at least 10 Green Allies to complete the training and begin applying nature-based practice in their own community settings.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS: noon 7th AUGUST 2026
With Many Thanks To Our Funders:
The programme is made possible thanks to #NationalLottery players and is funded through Awards for All Environment.
About the programme
Many local communities do not have safe, supported or regular access to nature. This can particularly affect people experiencing isolation, anxiety, stress, neurodivergence, menopause, health inequalities, social exclusion or barriers to outdoor spaces.
This training will support community-based practitioners working in Sussex to take their work outdoors in a safe, inclusive and trauma-informed way.
The programme will help participants develop the green skills, confidence and practical tools to design and deliver nature-based sessions with the people they already support.
It will also support participants to think about how their work can contribute to land care, biodiversity, ecological responsibility and local nature recovery.
This project is not only about helping people feel better in nature. It is also about helping communities build stronger relationships with local land and places, so both people and nature can thrive.
Who should apply?

People and land together
This programme holds together two connected aims:
- Supporting people
Helping communities experience reduced isolation, reduced stress, improved confidence, connection, resilience and wellbeing through safe, supported time outdoors. - Supporting land and biodiversity
Helping communities care for local green spaces, improve biodiversity awareness, develop ecological responsibility and contribute to land repair and thriving.
