Alana Avery
Alana is a mother, certified coach, and non-profit practitioner in social justice and change. Originally from rural Ireland, she grew up in a small family with an organic healthfood shop business.
With a background in operations and communications in the charity sector, she’s had the privilege of collaborating with trans and non-binary communities, people with experiences of poverty, stigma, abuse, climate change and social injustices. Together, setting up inclusive communications projects funded by partnerships with the media, trusts and foundations – to bring about better understanding. She’s managed diverse teams across multiple strategic priorities, whilst supporting people to bring their whole selves to work.
She’s passionate about offering people space to think and gain clarity when facing crossroads and barriers to change, and as an Associate Certified Coach, often helps them to (re)connect with nature. Alana also worked for several years on a shared allotment and volunteered with community-led green projects – transforming natural spaces in simple ways so people can benefit.
Alana joined CLR in 2025 as the Operations and Development Manager, overseeing partnerships, funding and supporting the team and organisation’s strategy.
